Well spotted!! Ha ha ha. Well there ya go - everyone makes mistakes, even Sub Pop.........
They're probably just manufactured 1 run of these 7"s and it's doubtfull they'll re-press (I would guess) so thats how it's always gonna be. Nice 7" all the same.

So, something more to watch out for all Mudhoney rarity collectors. Will there be a second pressing and will the put the correct number on the sleeve.... and can we sell the first edition as a misspressing for lot's of money?

The thing is as they're all the same and they probably pressed a 1000 copies (which if you're a label like Sub Pop and using a company to do your manufacture for you) which is the minimum run they're no more rare than any other pressing of a limited 7".
Now if someone at a manufacturing production level had spotted the mistake and changed the onbody (the art bit in the middle of the record) art to match the sleeve - so both catalogue numbers matched up AND then some copies with the mistake slipped out through the net then THEY would be VERY rare But looks like no one did - so no its not in it current state rare. It's just a typo.
Changing the artwork would have put the record back a week or two and it wouldn't have come out in time for all these fantastic European shows.
There, thats me speaking with my Distribution hat on!! All these years chasing CDs and whatnot from manufacturer's to shops etc hasn't been in vain!! ;D

I have written Sub Pop bout the mistake, too. And this is their answer:

"Oh crap—you’re totally right! Whoops!!"

Seems, they didn't recognized it yet.
