“Hate The Police” 10” Pink Augogo Records Limited Edition about 100 copies I believe that pink version of this 10" is more common. Black copy is more likely limited to 100. Yeah.. From what I've heard the Pink is "approximately" 100.... I don't know what that means but my guess would be that it's more than 100 but less than 200. The black is EXACTLY 100, so yes, it's more rare

Don't know anymore where I bought the black Hate the Police, but I guess it wasn't so expensive, cause I couldn't remember. I only remember the really expensive ones. I payd 50 Dollars for the brown Touch me I'm Sick 7" and also 50 Dollars for the first Dope Guns and fucking 7". This is, what I can remember......

Now then - happy new year and all that - 4th Jan already.... so.... insane amount for a white label/Test Pressing of Mudhoney 'Mudhoney' :- cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=008&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=180068289307&rd=1&rd=1hats off to whoever paid nearly $700 or £330 for this... some dude in Norway (Mike?!). Personally I a) couldn't afford this and b) don't tend to get that excited by white labels. I kinda like the artwork and the general feel of a release - white labels though V rare are kinda boring - to me But nice collection this individual is amassing! I salute you.

It's way too much as it does not contain diferent mixes or anything. I collect Mudhoney for years now and I wont even buy it for $15, as white labels exists for most records.

Yeah I agree - way too much to pay for a white label. But the point of white labels isn't to have mixes or whatnot on them - the point is that they are (supposedly) the first pressing or the 'test' pressing of an album. Folks do this to see if the 'cut' is ok - basically they will be pressed off the original lathes and if they don't sound good there may need to be another lathe or master cut to improve the sound. They are for listening purposes and usually made for members of the band, label dude (who does manufacturing) and probably the producer/ engineer of the recording to all have a listen see if it sounds like it did when they mastered it. Most TPS or white label TPs would come in really small runs - say 10-15 (if that) copies. Thats why they command such high prices - the low runs. Yes every release should have TPS - still pretty dull in my opinion though as all ya really getting is the record minus any label copy..... If tracks get dropped off releases or altered before the official release then yeah they are rare - I can think of a few instances of this - Oasis release when a track got dropped 'cos someone noticed that Noel had ripped off Stevie Wonder on a song and that Spritualized track off of Ladies And Gentlemen album when dude sung some Elvis lyrics over 1st song.... I guess if you had White Labels of those albums they'd be worth a bob or two.

The first US Cramps WLp has different tracks too. That might be worth $500 or more.

I have testpressings of the EGBDF LP and he split 7" with Gas Huffer, but I didn't paid much money for it and I would not do. But I have also the german test pressing of the You're gone 7" and this is really interesting because it was never released in Germany, only the 12 " version.....
