hey we-re in sao paulo and the show was amazing. They play 2 new songs and a few covers (the moneywill roll right in/stupid asshole, fix me) pretty rocking show. Took load of pictures and recorded some part of the soundcheck. the guys are great. /will post pics as soon as i get back to buenos aires

hey back in Buenos Aires. God what an awesome show!! They played 2 new songs, Mirror and New Meaning. They're heading to the Litho Studios (who belong to Stone Gossard of PJ) in September/October this time only with Tucker Martine. They have around 7 new songs, and here's the thing, so far it's only with Mark only singing, not playing guitar at all. They're not sure if that's the way they're going to record it though. The Money Will Roll Right In, You Stupid Asshole and Fix Me were on the setlist as well The new LIVE LP!! it's going to be sold at the European Tour next july and on the Sub Pop webpage. Steve is moving to Portland so he's focusing on that for a while, that's why there's no Steve's shows at this moment, but there's going to be a new record eventually, probably going back to the acoustic side. He also told us that he recorded some instrumental stuff but don't know if it's going to be released Dan just recorded the album with The Press Corps. He doesn't know when and who is going to release that. and Guy .... still working at the Medical Center in Seattle  so there's some news about the guys, and man, what an awesome show. The crowd was nuts, they even did a 2nd encore because was chanting for Here Comes Sickness, which eventually was played and was the closer of the show. All GOOD!! |

jesus...i watched those videos, i wanna go see a mudhoney show down in south america. the crowd looked amazing. both times i've seen them in southern california the crowd has absolutely sucked dick. i am insanely jealous. |

Im back in Buenos Aires and I can say that the show was amazing!! the best I ve ever gone.
the crowd went nuts, and someone gave the guys a brasilian flag with SUPERFUZZ written on it, btw we met a guy that plays in the cover band was it you superfuzz???
I get to talk with Dan, Steve, Guy & Mark & Danny the roadie (who is such a great person)
Kelly was there too, but he didnt speak a lot

and the setlist of songs was amazing they started with "You got it "and ended the show with "Here comes Sickness" due to public demand
they played 2 new songs The new meaning & Mirror, the songs are really rocking, Stooges-like
and Mark just sings on it
I remember the soundcheck began with " Where the flavor is?" and the people outside including myself went Loco!
The brasilians are really good people the few I met, but SAO PAULO is such a big city that you dont have the time to sightseeing a lot anyway I m looking forward to comeback there some day

Wow - this all looks and sounds amazing. Thanks to all for gig reports, photos, links, new etc etc. All very very interesting!! The crowd looks like they're having a blast at these shows. All power to Mudhoney playing places were folks seem to wanna see 'em! That SG suits Mark I think, looks kinda good. He hasn't played one live since the 3 pick up white SG custom circa Piece Of Cake. Anyone got any recordings to share - wanna hear what the new tunes sound like. Cheers again!  |
