- 20 Years of Dischord (3 cd's + booklet) - Fugazi - Instrument dvd - The Evens - s/t - Minor Threat - Live dvd - Minor Threat - Complete Discography Got my order today and it's great. The 20 Years of Dischord Box contains 3 cd's with all Dischord bands on it, one cd contains rarities. The booklet gives information about all bands and has a great front and back cover. On the front cover, you see a young Ian and Nelson (drummer MT) sitting in the Dischord office. On the back they're sitting there too, but then 20 years later. the office is still messy, they still have the same phone, and obviously Dischord is still up running. It's inspiring, a small label that only 'signs' (they never used contracts) local bands, keeping the costs and prices low, and are still there AND had much more impact than most other labels. I hope to watch the Fugazi dvd tonight. |

What the hardcore equivalent? No. If you would actually try to listen to New Day Rising for example, you would find out yourself. There's a very clear Dylan influence (how else could Terms of Psychic Warfare be described?) and as for the Beatles influence, check out Books About UFO's. Sounds like a Ringo song to me. |
