I Just Got e-mail From Steve Turner today The new solo record is finished, set for a September release on the same labels as the last one. There's a Spanish EP that just came out on Houston Party records with 9 songs-different versions, demos, etc. The album is called "Steve Turner and his Bad Ideas" and features a couple duets with Holly Golightly. Dan drums a bit, too. As for Mudhoney, once Mark gets back from the MC5 tour, they`ll try to get some recording done. "Steve Turner solo" section from my Mudhoney site here: www.geocities.com/sick72us/stevesolos.htmlok, more later

awh one more thing.... i found also this one: STEVE TURNER A BEAUTIFUL WINTER. MINI CD. RELEASE DATE: 15th JUNE 2004 Few expected an acoustic record from Steve Turner. Mudhoney’s leader is often thought to be more of a grunge icon than a soft-folk figure. No wonder why “Searching for Melody” was a bit of a surprise. Truth be told, he actually set out to make a folk record — though the result is definitely Turner's unique version of the "f-word," tempered by his punk rock background. Here, dominating aesthetics of his debut album are taken a little bit further. Turner is deepening on a wide range of registers. The result is a great bunch of songs of various tones and attitudes: Townes Van Zandt’s “Nothin’”, the vibrating tune of “People Take Trips” and such wonderful acoustic folk tracks as “Painting A Picture” or his best song to date “I-5 Corridor” merging together Rose Melberg’s The Softies with atlantic classic folk classicism. This record is the first release to come out on new Houston Party’s Collectors Series -A collection of exclusive releases by some of the most interesting artists of the independent music scene worldwide. Either on CDEP or mini-album format, Collectors Series releases are produced with great care. This year such different artists as Frausdots (Brent Rademaker’s new music project -formerly on Beachwood Sparks and The Tyde-), The Movies (‘the most calmed punk band of LA’ as they like to be called), James Yorkston (the most interesting scottish folk-pop artist of our time) and Peter Case (The Nerves and The Plimsouls former frontman) among many others will contribute to our Collectors Series. that info is took from www.houstonpartyrecords.com/web/
