I'm reading a book called No Abba by Dave Haslam (Manchester based DJ and journo). All about the cultural 'Abba-fication' of the 1970s. Basic premis is - there is/was a lot more to 1970s culture than space hoppers, Abba, the Bee Gees and Chopper bikes (he's coming from a UK perspective). It's ok.
Just finished a great book called Twelve Grand by Jonathan Rendall. Another journalist. He gets given £12K to bet and has to write about his 'experiences'. Great book. It got turned into a TV series a few years ago.
Got that recent biog. of Mao Tse Tung to go next....

yeah sure sad boy!!!!!! the sytlvia plath book is good but very depressing, she definitely had a few problems, but her poetry is fucking amazing, shes probably one of the best poets ever!!! o and h8kurt how many shakespear plays have you read ive read 6, and i really dont care if you dont belive me!!!!
at the moment im reading a book about the life of beethoven

I cant say Shakespeare is my forte so i haven't read many by him (3). Why say how many plays you've read by him but tell me anyway?
For someone with such a narrow mind in music i'm surprised to hear that your reading at beetoven.

beethoven is the greatest composer ever and he would make your tiny brain look like a micrscopic particle. i listen to classical music im doing a degree in it you fucking idoit. now how feels stupid, and ps i could talk all day about this!!!!!!

Could have fooled me man dont seem to have a broad mind when it comes to music you seem very limited to the quote of something like ''They Are Shit They're Rythym Is All Over The Place'' or some un-ed-u-cated useless meaning its getting to the point now thorn that everything you say is just silly i mean comeon man we know you dont read books..thorn reading a book?? i doubt it unless it has nude pictures or something in it.You stick with you well paid for degree in music or whatever and come back after you earn it and then learn us some new words about music yeah and tell us whats wrong with the music we listen to.sorry pal i only see 1 idiot really.  |
