I heard a rumour that in november a new Nirvana will be releashed, called "Sliver" with 3 brand new songs. Let's see if this is true.

It's true. From a press release:
The release, titled Sliver: The Best of the Box follows last year's release of With the Lights Out and is due out November 1st via Geffen. The album is the first with involvement from the daughter of the late singer, Kurt Cobain. The now thirteen-year old Frances Bean Cobain was involved in the track and artwork selection for the release.
While the bulk of the material comes from With the Lights Out, the album features three previously unreleased tracks: “Spank Thru” from the 1985 Fecal Matter demo tape, the 1990 studio outtake “Sappy” and a pre-Nevermind rehearsal recording of “Come as You Are.”
Since the suicide of Cobain in 1994, a number of releases have been release posthumously, including Greatest Hits, the aforementioned With the Lights Out and the live recording, From the Muddy Banks of the Wishkah.
01. “Spank Thru” (previously unreleased, 1985 “Fecal Matter” demo) 02. “Heartbreaker” (live, 1987) 03. “Mrs. Butterworth” (undated rehearsal demo) 04. “Floyd the Barber” (live, 1988) 05. “Clean Up Before She Comes” (undated home demo) 06. “About a Girl” (undated home demo) 07. “Blandest” (studio recording, 1998) 08. “Ain't It a Shame” (studio recording, 1989) 09. “Sappy” (previously unreleased) 10. “Opinion” (solo acoustic, 1990) 11. “Lithium” (solo acoustic, 1990) 12. “Sliver” (undated home demo) 13. “Smells Like Teen Spirit” (rehearsal recording, 1991) 14. “Come As You Are” (previously unreleased rehearsal recording, 1991) 15. “Old Age” (“Nevermind” outtake, 1991) 16. “Oh the Guilt” (split single w/ Jesus Lizard, 1992) 17. “Rape Me” (acoustic home demo, 1992) 18. “Rape Me” (studio recording, 1992) 19. “Heart Shaped Box” (studio recording, 1993) 20. “Do Re Mi” (home demo, 1994) 21. “You Know You're Right” (home demo, 1994) 22. “All Apologies” (home demo, 1994)

Is Sappy pre-Grohl then? I really liked the 1993 version on WTLO and would like to hear another one. Not sure I'll buy this, I've got all the other stuff bar 3 songs........................ I thought I would never say but..............doesn't seem worth it.

no offence to Chad but comparing the WTLO CD 3 of Sappy and the DVD with Chad, I prefer's Dave's, althoygh Chad's drum part is solid too, I just don't really go in for all the tom stuff.
