Well I'm going to start off by saying hi since I'm new to this forum.
Hi.

Here are some songs I've written (just lyrics, I guess it's poetry), let me know what you think about them.

I like school because of you
Your name we used as two

This is how I illustrate it

The love I feel is like a sickness, I can’t puke
If my heart could explode from my love for you it would shatter in a million pieces
I pretend I’m happy but I’m not

The scars on my arm are for you
But that was a mistake, so I stopped the blood dripping from my arm

GLADIATOR

The brave ones enter the arena
The warm sand touches their feet
Not all are prepared for battle
Some fear the sound of swords that clatter

When battle commences and your life is at stake
There is no excuse for the mistakes you might make
One fast chop and down goes your head
You’ll probably hear the blood gushing from your neck

You survived the first challenge but cheer not too long
Next week there is another challenge with foes more strong

Tomorrow the new battle will begin
You try to show no fear towards your friends
But deep inside you feel it gnawing
You fear the day that might end your life

Now again there you stand
Fear is not in your eyes but it lives your heart
You didn’t pay attention now it’s too late
Feel the cold steel shove through your stomach

And I see you lying in the sand, gazing at the sky
And on your face I detect a little smile
You’re finally free from all the bloodshed

Yeah well there's one little problem: I don't have my guitar yet and I have to pay for it myself. So, there will probably be no music until September

Well it's a bass guitar and the reason I'll have it so late is because I first have to do a summerjob and that's in August.
I don't really know what kind of bass I'm getting but someone told me that a Fender Squire is good. Does anyone know anything about it?

Is it you'r first guitar? if so just get a cheap one man they always work well enough and you could always modify it to you'r requirements and could always bash it around a bit.

Just Get it from a pawn shop thats where i got mine and it works great

Yup, my very first guitar
I think I'm just going to beg for money as often as I can and buy a cheap one. Then I'll probably get one faster.
I got to be careful that I don't bash it too much
