I missed out last night on winning (out bid again!!) on a RED vinyl 7" copy of Vol 1.Dope Guns And F+@"ing In The Street on Am Rep (featrring Mudhoney/Thrown Ups etc:). Now I have a black vinyl version, but kinda want a red one. This one went for $66. Which considering there are supposed to be less than 10 of the red versions around is a pretty good price I think!!
However this is the 3rd Red vinyl version I've seen on Ebay in the past year, which makes me wonder..... Where there more than 10 or whatever the Am Rep/Mudhoney Discography say were manufactured or are these fakes.... and I very very much doubt they are fakes too!!!! Can anyone shed some light on this?

I've been told that there's 250 on red and 250 on black. Which I think seems more likely.

About fakes. I think there are lots of Amrep fakes going on since it's very collectable label.

there was Mark Arm`s handwritten lyrics
signed by all memb.of Mudhoney
for sale on eBay before

that's to raise money for People For The
American Way which is a civil liberties organization.
Hope it helps them raise a lot of money !!!

awh btw i am too tired to change to right topic but i got e-mail from Dan Peters and he told me about mudhoney coming up recording sessions: there's no recording date has been set up, but they have a handful of new songs ready to go. good news right ? RIGHT !!!!
He send me also few lines about his ex-band projects like Feast, Dan Peters Combo etc etc and his new side project The Press Corps and few lines about Nirvana period, you can read them from my site on "Side Projects and Other bands" section.

I really doubt authenticity of that xeroxed sleeve. Vinyl I believe is real.

yeah that's Test pressing and 50 hand-numbered copies. if you look close that picture on ebay the "nr.______" on record sticker is empty.... there should be also the note that reads "Unverkaufliches Musterexemplar / Hergestellt von der Pallas GmbH Diepholz" . on the cover should be found note that reads "Limited edition of 50" (it's printed on down left)

still I think it's real... hope i am not wrong....

I think that vinyl is real, but that sleeve is suspicious.. It's xeroxed, back cover is different and how normal is that covers are made for test pressing?

*Edit* just checked www.unofficial-mudhoney.com discography section and noticed that Steve has confirmed that also sleeve is real..
