their recordings are something brutal to listen to. . . like, the old stuff. . .actually hard to hear.

early danzig is cool, but i think bands such as the ramones, the dead boys, black flag and a dozen other bands would be way more elegible for that title.

Ramones?! they don´t even play punk....f**kin' poppers Me dont like them at all. what's wrong with pop? i mean 99% of good garage and punk rock is great pop songs with more distortion. think the sonics, the shadows of knight, the buzzc0cks, the real kids, dead kennedys, X, the big boys, the queers... the ramones' records may sound a little clean by today's standard but the songs are still there and i think they're amazing. edit: the "0" in buzzc0cks is really an "o" but the damn forum would censure that. |

im not really into such shit music as described above, most 'punk' (or so it is decribed) entails blink 182 greenday and the likes. this type of 'punk' is too shit (for want of a better word). it has no passion, its just music for the sake of playing notes and beats, they dont sound like they enjoy themselves at all. whereas mudhoney pour oodles of energy and passion into thier music, which makes it meaningful, the oppsite of this so called 'punk' shit. and electro retard is right most 'punk' bands have really crap singers.
