i gonna see the melvins in 2 weeks
sonic youth, pixies, teenage fanclub, dino jr, mudhoney and the melvins. i think it really is 1990 all over again!!!! for me its been a fantastic summer!!!!!!!!!!

It's still rumours but they're probably gonna re-record Houdini - sounds crazy - which will feature Trevor Dunn (Mr. Bungle, Fantomas, Secret Chiefs 3...) on bass. Earlier there were speculations that the London show would be released but Trevor recently said to someone the show has not been recorded. And even though it was never official, I had already hoped for it, damn! Honeybucket live on DVD, could have been fucking awesome.

Interesting...I was sure that Buzz recently said that it would be the live Houdini set that would be released. (?)

yeah, i've heard rumors about that too.
noone can't be sure that the show in london has NOT been recorded, but it might started rumors for re-record Houdini.
I've heard same kind of rumors after Mudhoney London show but that's bullshit.
but Melvins is Melvins and it might be true that they will re-record the whole HOUDINI album. it feels stupid idea for me cos "original released" is awesome and going to be better forever, you can't make it sound better than it is.well who live who see

Either way I'm excited to get a new Melvins release, but I'd much rather prefer the live set.

yeah Houdini is already excellent a new bassist isnt gonna do it for me, and i agree with Laimstain a live album would be much better
