yea, i remember when i heard Nirvana first time, year was 1989, i fall into them and i fall into Mudhoney in same year  i got all nirvana studio releases and over 30 bootlegs and few mp3 concert.but still it`s so hard to get bootlegs from here you know.... i saw Nirvana live 3 times, and it`s one of my favourites all of time. still i love Mudhoney most, i would die for Mudhoney bootlegs, i got few but i want more. and now if i have to say (only) 5 bands ever i think the list is Mudhoney, Sonic Youth, Nirvana, Melvins and NoMeansNo yea and that`s my opinion Tim Kerr is my "hero" too goosh, he has done great and cool work in many many sections, i really respect him !!! yea yea i am way out of topic again.... sorry i am little bit drunk when i write this ;D |

You can get loads of Nirvana boots and other boots from sharingthegroove.org . In flac/shn. In my opinion are the Rio sessions one of the most valuable demo's ever recorded by Nirvana. In the time of being very famous, they refused to play the populair songs and played the "real" Nirvana songs. Especially "Seasons in the Sun" is one of my favorites. Quite sadly the quality of the recordings are bad. But for demo-lovers, or just Nirvana lovers, The Rio-demo is definetly un-missable in your collection! |

yea, you`re d*mn right about that.
almost every time when i want to listen Nirvana,
i start to listen up that rio demo session.
and yes "Season In The Sun" is so awesome cover, goosh i wish i get it in better sounded version someday, we can only hope that some genius will re- mix it to sound better in future. but hey, i love Nirvana when it`s raw, i think that demo is perfect in the way it is....

i'm certainly no genius (i am, however, professionally trained in sound engineering/production) & remixing would require the master tape, but anyway, i did do some sound editting to the demo & made my own improved version of it. i cleaned up the overall sound a bit, trimmed up the silence at the beginning & end of songs, & adjusted the dB level of the recording so you don't have to crank up the volume just to hear the thing. basically it's a more listenable version i created for my own listening pleasure (i still have the demo in original form as well), but if anyone is interested, pm me.

mudride i like the list except i would replace nonmeansno with the pixies other than that excellent chioces!!
