I think Rev Thorn is correct. Oliveri was the original bassist.

certainly seems to think so. But as the 1 out of 5 review (which I penned) suggests it is without doubt the worst rock 'bio' I have ever read.... So there is a chance the guy is wrong.....

Oh well, Chris Cockrell was the bass player of Sons of Kyuss, before they changed their name to Kyuss. I saw his new band Vic du Monte's Idiot Prayer last year at Roadburn, with Mr. Hernandez on drums.

i honestly can't understand how someone can't here melody in them, their riffs make them one of the best riffbased bands ever i think, and josh's solos really take the songs somewhere higher, in melody that is

also, there is no comparison possible between queens and kyuss, queens is not stoner, why does everyone keep calling are seeing them that way. there are no black sabbathy basslines, there is (actually was...) much more punk in it, much more professional musicianship (i mean, josh was 16 when they started recorded wretch..)

Sorry, I don't feel like going through this entire thread again, who said Kyuss don't have melody in their music?
