So go on then name some bands that you like but all your mates hate.
Daniel Johnston- Why dont people realise that he is the sound of innocence.
Sonic Youth- Some people say "yeah they're cool" so I try to have a conversation to them about sonic youth but you might as well talk to a cow cos you aint gonna get one from them.
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club- Them-"Whats that t-shirt your wearing?" Me- " Black Rebel, why?" Them- "huh huh they suck huh huh". Nuf said really.

i only like sonic youth from the above list, however you better not reply to my post as its not cool to speak to thorn anymore because he has differing opinons to the rest of this board!!!

*slaps forehead* Its not about the bands I like its about bands that YOU like but nobody else seems to. YOU tell US what bans YOU like but nobody else likes. Thsi could also been twisted into a 'Who knows the most underground band that nobody else knows/likes'.

The White Stripes - ive always loved them but everyone i know hates them
thats all i can think of unless you want bands that i like that none of my friends have heard of

for me it's the other way around, when i come with new music they always like it except for some that didn't like Dinosaur Jr. but mostly it''s like .... they like Bob Marley or some other stuff i can't dig

As discussed elsewhere:) my wife and friends hate Pink Floyd. I think some of their stuff is rather good! Heh heh heh...
Same goes for Hawkwind. Also Groundhogs, early Fairport Convention....mainly old late 60s early 70s stuff I guess. A lot of folks I know are very purist when it comes to hoary old pre-punk folk and prog.
