The only Late track I have is on a Simple Machines 7" box set (Simple Machines - Jenny Toomey of Tsunami / Grenadine etc - DC Positive Force activist/label owner, journo - all round lovely lady). The box set is called Neopolitan Metropolitan and I think is well out of print and worth a few bob - I have 2 copies, I'm not selling eithert:) go here for more details: www.simplemachines.net/neometro.htmlThe Late track is called 'There's That Song' or something like that..... it's so great.... not a huge fan of Foo Fighters. But Grohl is a good egg and a damn fine drummer. Folks should generally check out the Simple Machines label. Some quality stuff!!

In my opinion, 'Pocketwatch' is as strong as the self-titled Foo debut..It was recorded at two seperate sessions between 1990-91', and had a cassette-only release sometime in 1992. Much like 'Foo Fighters', all the songs were written and performed almost exclusively by Grohl.(there are some backing vocals on one track by Barret Jones)Pocketwatch has much more variety than 'Foo Fighters'. There are noisy instrumentals, three minute punkers, acoustics songs, a hilarious story told by Dave over music, and some strong pop tracks. The lyrics are not as strong as some of Dave's later material, and the songs tend to be pretty straight-forward.However, we really get to hear Dave's songwriting ability blossoming here. This is a wonderful body of music, and a historically significant demo(two songs re-recorded by Foo and one by Nirvana) for any Dave or Foo fan. Since the limited cassette release can make it tough and expensive to aquire the original, I recommend downloading it. Hear is the track listing, check it out, You will not be dissapointed!
1.Pokey the Little Puppy 2.Petrol CB 3.Friend of a Friend 4.Throwing Needles 5.Just Another Story About Skeeter Thompson 6.Marigold 7.Hell's Garden 8.Winnebago 9.Bruce 10.Milk

There's a guy called Tos Nieuwenhuijsen who will also join Sunn 0))) during their upcoming European Tour. I did a little research and found out he has done some background vocals once for Scream, the band Dave played in before he joined Nirvana. Also, Tos played in several Dutch bands, including Beaver (that once featured Scott Reeder) and now 35007. He also once roadied for The Obsessed. Anyway, in the 80s he played in a punk band an I think he's probably the guy who had Scream saying in his apartment during their second European tour (so we're staying in this giu Tos's house). I think it's funny.

Come on, people! I'm gonna meet Tos. Tos! The guy who had Gluey Porch Treatments in his collection that blew Dave's mind out and who offered the guys from Scream a place to stay which would inspire Dave to write Skeeter! Skeeter! Who is a bump now, so I heard.
