I saw Flipper who were really good. I'd never heard them before so it was cool to see them. Mudhoney weren''t there but Mark Arm was with MC5. I didn't see them becaise of Be your own pet. Man that was a kick ass weekend.

Wow! Much better than 2 years previous! So the first band i caught was flipper and boy was i looking forward to this,Soon as they hit the stage with what seemed to be a big rough shadow on bass that was krist to say the least they were fucking amazing,I think they scared alot of people than rather excited them,alot of talk about them being to loud and stuff! Ha!! i mean come on its flipper go buy their albums they were fucking great in my opinion! Sonic Yoouth was truely amazing probably one of the highlights of my life thus far what with being right at the front of the stage infront of kim watching her doing her mad dancing shit and the rest of them going mad,surely was an insane show from them and great setlist also. Deerhoof kinda shocked me i didnt really expect them to be that good or as good as they are on album but they were,i caught the second show cause we missed the first one but they were also great. Dinosaur Jr (One of my favourite bands) they proved that again this past weekend,I aslo seen them play sunday due to mass crouds on saturday and i have a westlife ticket to proove it,Great set and the 3 of them were of fire pretty much and still nice to see lou and J putting things behind them,Oh i also met J but he looked kinda busy and rushed past me lol. Melvins were totally out of this fucking world! (I was meant to see them monday night also in london but really couldnt make it due to bad health reasons  ) But my god they were good mabye could have thrown some more oldies into the set but wow what a drum solo and those new songs sound awesome live.Also met buzz twice over the weekend and he is so down to earth such a kool friendly guy who will stop and talk to anyone.Marteen i have a picture of me and you with buzz i will upload soon ok mate.  I will mention other bands later im to tired right now. P.s - Phil sorry mate i had yr number on my phone all along not knowing i did sorry mate,And Tim we were this far mate sorry i should have rung you sunday sometime but i was wasted all day and didnt remember  |

Oh Mike, you made a huge mistake my missing that show in London. Jesus fuck. That was the best show they played actually. They also played Hooch and Revolve this time. Men of Porn was like a 30 minute drum solo with Dale in his Elvis suite doing some comedy too and stuff. Then Flipper played, and I saw Buzz standing on the side, banging his head. Then suddenly Buzz had a guitar on and was TUNING THE FUCKER. So then he came on stage, standing next to Chris Novoselic, and Dale and Coady of BB also came on stage, so they had three drummers banging on Sacrifice. Dale was just walking around making random cool hits. It was the coolest thing. The sound at the Scala is AMAZING. Seriously, this was the best thing I have ever heard of them. I was in trance every second, and you know I was fucking wasted because that night I had slept for two hours only probably, and my stomach was really fucked up. This was easily the best show I have ever seen. There's a fucking long review by me of ATP + Melvins on the Melvins board. Everyone I spoke said it was the best thing they had ever seen live.

Man oh man,m what a weekend, and what a show in London. Im totally exhausted after 4 hours of sleep last night, and im still up, 4.30. Playing the 9th Melvins album of this night since I came home, adn almost falling off my chair. Some of the best days iof my life, easily.

Yeah thanks for putting the nail in my coffin mate Nah we got to emily's and i was totally out of it,still wasted still under-slept and to make matter worse we didnt really have enough money to get to london let along by drinks or food for the night so we kinda sadly said ah we'll have to leave it wich i totally regret now after hearing about that,But still ATP was a fantastic weekend it rocked much harder than the one i was at 2 years previous,Pity we didnt get to meet tim and phil,but mabye nexttime eh,Emily bought those 2 pictures on the way home sunday mate no worries they will be up soon ok,As for the picture of me you and buzz you'll have to wait a while for that as its on my phone and i aint bought credit for a long time,i will soon though ok. Great weekend though none the less,Oh yeah about Be Yr Own Pet it wasnt a bad show but sound-wise it was fucking terrible everything was soooo destorted couldnt even her what she was saying when she was talking on the mic,How was mc5/dkt didnt see em? |
