from muddclubb.com 3/7/06 Easy Street Records (Queen Anne). Seattle, WA (40 min) Attendance: 200 Set: Where is the Future?, It is Us, Suck You Dry, Endless Yesterdays, Who You Drivin' Now?, I Saw the Light, A Brief Celebration..., Inside Job, Empty Shells, You Got it, Hard on for War Notes: This was a free performance at a record store on the day that they released Under a Billion Suns. Endless Yesterdays, A Brief Celebration..., and Empty Shells are premiered. Steve has a problem with his guitar as soon as they start, and they play the opening song while he fades in and out. Afterwards, they take a lengthy break, as the guys make small talk while Steve exhorts them to be entertaining. When Steve is ready to go, he provides the crowd with the following joke: "Knock, knock. Who's There? Chicken. Chicken Who? Chicken," leading the guys to wonder why he was telling them to be more entertaining. After A Brief Celebration..., Steve remarks that the song is a "politically charged instrumental" (in reference to reviews of Under a Billion Suns) and then adds, "Darn that Thatcher!" You Got it is played more slowly than normal. After the show, the band took a short break, then signed records for people at the front of the store. photos from myspace/cuntbag

Do my eyes deceive me, or do I see an almost beard-less Steve?

ha! That was the first thing I thought of too when I saw the pics. So what's better, clean cut Steve, or grizzly adams steve? haha
seriously, thanks for the posting of the pics. I would have loved to have been there and even thought of three hour drive last night from Portland to go see it, but being a teacher, and having to be up at 5:30, just seemed too much this week. I am so looking forward to their two shows next week!
