Thorn darling - if you scan up you'll see I write: That's a piss take. Sonic B didn't see the funny side either (though it's all cool now apparently - this was 15+ years ago) and a proposed split single between the two bands was nixed - I think they'd already done a cover of When Tomorrow Hits - that cover wasn't a musical riposte. So says the official history and all that. keep up

Amazing This thread starts out about bands who have covered Mudhoney tracks (which is kinda interesting and worth talking about) and then mutates into a discussion about Spacemen 3 covering 'When Tomorrow Hits' (a worthy topic) and now ends up with Thorn not reading back through comments (and thus repeating stuff) and then accusing me of being 'old'. 35 is old I guess. Ho hum. Damn, you've gone and ruined my day So lets try and take this thread somewhere else.....how about.... Mudhoneys cover version of.....'Urban Guerrilla' which I think only appears on the Mojo 'Up Yours! Punks Not Dead' 2003 covermount CD. Has anyone out there got a link to this cover version? It's a personal favourite of mine. They played it live a bunch of times in 2003/4. Can someone direct us all to one of those handy free musical website thangs so we can all listen and discuss? I'm too old and out of touch to find it myself

Sir - thanks for the kind offer but I've just looked at my March 2003 edition of Mojo where this covermount comes from and this version of Urban Guerilla is from that Peel Session. Excellent stuff. What else did they record for that particular session? I've not heard the rest of it. I 'guess' this is the only session they've done post the BBC Sessions CD that came out in 2000. Do you have the rest of it? cheers

So June the 12th sees the quite exciting release of the deluxe re-issue of Sonic Youths 1988 album Daydream Nation. As part of the extended double CD package their cover of Touch Me I'm Sick is getting I think it's first (official) CD release. Pretty excited about this re-issue - seems to have some cool extras on it - an since TMIS is on it - I'd thought I'd mention it as part of this thread. thanks
