I read somewhere (i think mudhoney.net) that steve said 'see you in six years' after the last australian show in 05. umm, please tell me he was lying. if they don't come here again soon i will die.

Yeah probably more of a joke than being serious,Far as i know mudhoney and fond men of australia to im led to believe they really dig australia so i wouldnt go worrying to much about what steve said.

Yeah - its all about the Oz innit with Mudhoney - well not all - but its important to them as a band. The Scientists, Birthday Party, the Saints etc al played a big part in the Mudhoney 'sound'. Band played at the Big Day Out Festival in '93 (or was it 94?). Mark is pictured in that Fish In A Barrel - Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds book - hanging with Nick Cave, Kim Gordon and Kim Salmon from that festival. Au Go Go (Oz label) licensed SuperFuzz BigMuff and Mudhoney early on and released that Hates the Police covers EP too. Also a different sleeved version of 'You're Gone'. I guess it must be expensive to play there..... travel and all that. I'd love to visit!!!

This whole discussion reminds me of the time a teacher went to america and told them that we ride to school on kangaroos. Then he told them he was joking and they wouldn't accept it
