Ha ha - not really a dick, just a little grouchy maybe?  I don't think anyone here is claiming to know all these tracks. Are they? I know that comment wasn't aimed at me - but I can say with my hand on my heart I own about half of these. However the other half either I've never even heard of them - Ozzy, The Mentally Ill. Or I've heard of them - but never 'heard' them - Laughing Hyenas, Drunk With Guns, Poison 13. Or I know the act but don't know that track - Scientists, Cramps, Black Flag. But hey - this IS a great looking comp. Uncut can be a lilttle lame sometimes - their cover mount CDs are a bit dull - this would make such a cool comp though eh? Thats the point of cool comps - thinking the Mojo Soul Up Yours Punks Not Dead CDs. Also those great Rough Trade Comps - particularly Rock & Roll Vol. 1. Anyone got the 2 volumes of Original Seeds CDS? All the tunes that influenced Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds? From old John lee Hooker stuff to the Pop Group. Good comps kinda join the musical dots and introduce ya to cool new stuff. No? This 'looks' great but its a tease right? No wonder Uncut hid it way on their website! Too much for them! |

haha I never claimed to have heard all of those songs . To be exacltly I just heard 8 of the said songs, but my point was that he chose some obscure bands that makes this list pretty interesting. Now we need to dig in that list |

Indeed we do:) Yup it is one damn obscure list - hats off if anyone here has heard all of it - if ya have - can ya make me a CDR? Druganaut by Black Mountain - awesome track! The extended version can be found on the CDS/12" EP. But that album by them is awesome! I'm listening to Nevermind by Nirvana for the first time - in a long time! It's alright innit?  |
