Dear krsoere, I'm collecting now Mudhoney records since 1989, sometimes more sometimes less intensive. Today I have 400 different items and I think it is stupid, too. But I never payed this high prices, on the one hand, cause I couldn't and on the other hand, I've learned to wait. There will be the time, that I find a special record for a price I can afford. May be not next week, but in a year or two or ten, I don't know. But If I would have a job, where I earn so much money I couldn't spent at all, I would pay more than i would do now. So I think record collectors are all stupid or not stupid in the same way, it doesn't matter how much money they spent.
And of course, I would not refuse to sell these records for USD 1000, but I have to say, my heart would bleed a little bit, if I do this :-)

hcsop, "So I think record collectors are all stupid or not stupid in the same way, it doesn't matter how much money they spent." You could probably just remove "record" or replace it with any kind of word and it would be the same. I do actually agree with what you say, I just reserve the right to be stupid ;-) No offence taken and I hope I have not offended you either as I'm here to make friends.
Could you please send me a private message as I would like to get in contact with you ?

Hi krsoere, I've send you a message to your inbox here in the forum. I've also send you a mail to the adress you've mentioned in your profile, but it returned.

So yes! Thought I was talking to myself So I reckon I got a bargain with that 7" - thats what I'm telling myself anyway. Picked up yesterday for £10 an absolute mint copy of the Au Go Go release on 10" blue vinyl of the Let It Slide EP at the Notting Hill Tape Exchange. Occasionally they get some good stuff in. £10 is ok I think - paid for it with vouchers so it wasn't real money anyway. Needed it to replace my really battered copy. Also picked up on Ebay for £1.50!! (bargain?) a copy of the 5 track in a jewel case of the Sub Pop version of the Let It Slde EP. I've gone Let It Slide crazy! Anyways....

The Record & Tape Exchange is a chain of 2nd hand shops around London (and one in Birmingham too). Essentially you take your unwanted CDs/Vinyl etc in and they give you money or vouchers (which you can spend in the shop). I spend a lot of time in there getting music. I trade a lot too. Half my record collection comes from the Tape X. There are also Clothes/DVD/Books/Comics etc Exchanges all over London but they are mainly based in the Notting Hill area. Their prices are a bit erratic and the buyers are notoriously a bit arsey (but when you get to know them they are ok) - but if you want to shift old unwanted music or DVDs then you can get vouchers to spend on music ya like. Check it out if you are in London
