Lets cut to the chase now - there are some Mudhoney related questions that need to be answered Like what's going on? And when is it going to happen? 1. The proposed Mudhoney DVD - whats on it, who is putting it out and when is it hitting the shops/online interweb for sale? 2. Monkeywrench 'Gabriels Horn' - what label is putting it out and when? 3. Tour dates - are Mudhoney playing this year? If so when and where? I'm talking festival dates and club shows. I want to see them play in the US before I hit 40. So I need to book my flights. If someone can sort this out for me - great. Ta. 4. Come to think of it will Monkeywrench play any shows to support the album that may or not be coming out? I've only seen them once and it's not enough. I want to play Tim Kerrs guitar again. I work with a guy called Tim Kerr. He works in the IT Department of the company I slave away at. What are the chances of that happening! 5. Whats Stiv Turner up to? Any more albums? Shows? Singles? Has he cut his hair and had a shave yet? 6. Who's gonna write the definitive Mudhoney biography. Come on it needs to be done. It's a great 'story'. 7. Why hasn't the Mudd Club/Pete Ts website been updated in a month? If Pete is reading this - hello man. No 19 years and counting 1st Jan announcement!? 19 YEARS!! So... 20 Yr anniversary is nearly upon us.....jesus I feel old. Imagine Christopher Morris asking all this a la Brass Eye or The Day Today. Something like this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=G07sWzYObnk&mode=related&search=message ends!

The Monkeywrench album, "Gabriels Horn" will be coming out on Birdman records. On the tim kerr website he says its coming out in march. I wrote Birdman and they told me that yes, they will be putting it out, though they have no release date as of yet.
As far as Monkeywrench shows go. I would LOVE to see that! Last time I saw them was at Bumbershoot about 5-6 years ago. I wonder if they will in fact play live? I heard Tom Price is suffering from Parkinsons so he may not be able to play? If someone knows anything about his health, that would be great to hear an update.
To add to your list... I hear they may actually be a new Mudhoney album later this year! Someone told me that they already have many songs ready to go. Didn't one of the interviews someone posted here say this also?
Yes a mudhoney biography is way overdue. I am sure charles peterson has tons of photos of the band that have never seen the light that would be great to see!

Hi, i've been too busy to write anything to anybody, sorry for that. hope you understand. i'll try to get more time for this forum and my mudhoney site too. ( i do not know anything about peter's site or what's going on with it, hope that he keep on going with good work) well there's not much to tell in this moment. (or you can read: i've not get permission for it yet, however) but The last i heard on Monkeywrench was that the cover is almost done and when thats finished and sent to Birdman, then a date will be set for release. I am sure they will play a show or two but havent really heard anything about that. as i said, i am way too busy right now, but i'll try to send some more information as soon as it's possible, until then
cheers -mika-

to answer the kinda 'big' question about what mudhoney is gonna do in the near future...
i spoke with dan at the san diego show (soco music fest) and he said that they did not have any big plans until the band's 20th anniversary which is coming up. i don't remember his exact words but he said something along the lines of "...we gotta get ready for our 20th anniversary." mark was standing there too and responded with something like, "shit, that's right."
so, i think we can expect more shows to come later this year.

and also don't forget about that single that was going to be released thru Suicide Squeeze Records for their 10th Anniversary. I emailed them a couple of days ago about it and this is the answer: "So far the band has only recorded one of the tracks for the single. Once the other song is completed this single will be released. Thank you for your inquiry. -- David" and yeah, what happened to Peter? 19 years and counting! Hopefully we will have more info in the next weeks.

Hey everyone - nice to hear from y'all. My mail was partly an excuse to get y'all talking really I mean even though not a lot is happening right now - there's some great stuff in the pipeline. No? I know folks are busy - I was rushed off my feet before Xmas and just couldn't get my fingers to function - it's only just slowed down at work the last week or so and I've been able to take stock of stuff. ATP for example just knocked me completely for 6. 20 Years of Mudhoney though..... If they do something like an anniversary show I'd try somehow to combat my fear of flying and go to it. Bloody long way to go to a gig - but if one could combine it with a holiday I've been promising myself for about 15 years... When is the official 20 year anniversary anyway? Halloween 2007 or new Years Day 2008?
