So considering I was such a rabid Mudhoney fan in my youth, I have all kinds of crazy shit. I have multiple copies of various records, 7 inches of songs I all have on CD, posters, etc...
Anyways, out of all this stuff that I do have, I've been thinking about selling some stuff off and quite possibly the most random thing I have is a promo only Reprise Records comp that has all kinds of rarities by bands on their roster at the time (including The Boredoms, Mudhoney, Wilco, etc). The only way you could get this CD, or at least how I got it, was by answering a bunch of trivia questions on Reprise Records old AOL portal.
So this CD has the Black Sheep version of "Poisoned Water Poisons the Mind" on it from the soundtrack that never came out. So my question to you, great Mud fans, how rare is this CD/version of the song? How much is it worth? I haven't seen this CD anyplace so I'm just incredibly curious, and for the right price I might be willing to part with it. I just want to know if anybody knows anything about this before I choose to part with it.
If anybody could let me know that would be rad. Thanks. Ryan

that's really hard to know, I haven't seen that cd to sell on ebay. But let me tell you that usually Mudhoney items doesn't go for really that much, unless its a rare test pressing or something. But you may be lucky. But before you sell that cd, is there a chance you can upload that song on good quality? (FLAC) And welcome aboard buddy!

Hey there - alright and welcome. Don't sell ya Mudhoney stuff. You'll regret it...... Ebay has kinda blown what things are 'worth' out of the water - it's all about what people are willing to pay now Subtle difference and all that. There are some collect-able artists on this CD - ya 4ADs types, Nick Cave etc and these tracks are hard to find elsewhere. I don't think this promo is worth much as Reprise would have made 1000s of 'em- given them to retail/TV/radio/Pr folks and to subscribers to this AOL thing. They made loads of these promos in the 90s and Mudhoney appear on a few of 'em. But yes BNF is correct they don't come up very often on Ebay - and yes that version of Poisoned Water is not that common - its the original version - not the version on THT album. I've not heard it actually! But bloody hell Black Sheep is an awful film... I have a VHS copy - which I only keep as Mudhoneys performance/appearance is so........weird! You get the impression the guys (Dan and Matt especially!!) are thrilled to be in the great mans presence - Chris Farley that is......someone should YouTube it.

Yeah, the guys look very uncomfortable, but its funny nonetheless.
Farley: Yeah!, I love you guys! Dan: Whoa, hey what's your name? Farley: Umm, Mike Donnelly Mark: Govenor Donnelly?-Nice threads Steve: No You Jag, he ain't the govenor Matt: He's running for govenor
wtf?! p.s. Dans voice was dubbed for some reason.
