Never understood why Evan was involved in this. Doesn't make sense to me at all. Mark A - yeah, he has the voice etc etc and from this footage (and others I've seen) he's totally rocking it!! Evan is not suited to the MC5 at all in my opinion. Wasn't he eventually kicked off the project for forgetting the lyrics and stuff? Evan Dando..... I dunno. The new Lemonheads album has a few good tunes but the last time I saw him play - doing Shame About Ray live as part of ATPs 'Don't Look Back' season - it was like he just turned up - phoned in his performance and f***** off. Pretty crappy.... I saw the MC5/DKT two years ago at the Royal Festival Hall with Sun Ra's Arkestra in 'support'. The Arkestra were awesome - keeping the spirit of Ra alive. Those dudes are hardcore!! But the weak link in the DKT / MC5 show was bloody Handsome Dick Manitoba on vocals. Bloody awful!!! Totally ruined the show. Kramer/Thompson and Davis still rock like mad  |

back then
Evan Dando wasnt there ,
his voice sucks ass , when The Lemonheads played in 2004 in Buenos Aires , he couldnt even sing
