and here it comes the first mudhoney show interview from AU: Corner Hotel, Richmond, February 26 How do you fit more people into a sold-out Mudhoney show? With a shoehorn, apparently. The much anticipated return of the original kings of Seattle grunge to Melbourne on Saturday night was one of the most packed Corner shows in memory. And while it was a bit warm for flannelette shirts, there were still plenty out in force. Most people arrived early enough to see sets from support acts Salmon - Kim Salmon's all-star guitar orchestra - on the main stage and the Double Agents, who played two sets on the side stage. The Double Agents, recently returned from a European tour, were in fine form, their swaggering garage rock sounding all the better for the overseas touring experience. Strident, punchy, sassy. The two Melbourne bands were a terrific prelude to Mudhoney, now in their 17th year of flying the Seattle flag. Nirvana and Soundgarden came, conquered and crashed. Pearl Jam were always too soft. But Mudhoney has endured and, importantly, never compromised their punishing sound. As testimony to his rock stature, Mudhoney singer Mark Arm was last in Australia last year as one of the two invited guests vocalists for the reformed MC5 (and, many agreed, the ridiculously superior vocalist to fellow guest Evan Dando). But Mudhoney is definitely no nostalgia trip; in fact, the band played about three new songs on Saturday night, which indicated they have no intentions of stopping, or softening - despite guitarist Steve Turner wearing a Jackson Browne T-shirt - in their middle age. The shearing twin-guitar attack of Turner and Arm was potent sonic weaponry, from the opening chords of Mudride, through to set highlights such as the slow dive dirge of Sweet Young Thing Ain't Sweet No More - the band's first single on Sub Pop back in 1988 - and its B side, Touch Me, I'm Sick, with Arm shrieking the lyrics like a banshee, his wide, face-splitting mouth making him look like a Pac-Man possessed. Three encores kicked off with the superb, maniacal, In 'n' Out of Grace, and ended with the intense Hate the Police: "Mommy mommy mommy/look at your son/you better run/'cos I've got a gun". Despite the uncomfortable crush, it was a great gig. Many fans would have been inspired to buy tickets on the way out for the band's second Corner show last night, which was yet to sell out. and 2nd poster:

Dan send me few comments from Australia tour, He came back earlier and others come back today... The shows were great, they had a excellent time. The Adelaide show was in a small club that was packed and sold out, and turned into a great chaotic show. The other shows were cool as well. Australia is always a great place for Mudhoney to play.
He told me some about coming up plans but more about 'em later
