i haven't heard anything about a new album in the near future. i believe they only signed a 1 album deal w/sub pop to put out "since we've become translucent," so if that's the case they're not even with a label at the moment. they have recorded a few tracks for a few compilations since the last album, but i don't know of any other recordings. & as mudhoney1988 said, mark is out on the road w/mc5 for a bit, so they definately won't be working on anything for at least a few months. anyway, like i said, i haven't heard anything about a new album.

Sub Pop never did any contract things did they? mark said in a interview that they always used to record a album and sell it to them. But that was in the early years and surely they can record a new one if they want 2? I have one of there new songs, The Trench You're Digging, pretty cool song

Yeah, but in interviews steve said they would maybe have a new album this year, and he wouldn't have said that if they didn't have a record company, wouldn't they?
