Does the Goo Special Edition count? Nope, just as the Mangled Demos, Legacy of Dissolution (Earth remixes), Day Late, Dollar Short (Thrones compilation) don't count. Just kidding. Obviously there are no rules for such lists but I consider Goo a 1990 album.

Ok - what the hell! I'll whittle this down at the end of the year! Nice list. Black Mountain sounds interesting, I'll give it a listen. Of course Boris is also a nominee of mine, Naki Kyoku is an awesome song. For those who think Boris is just drone, they're not. Stooges fans should definitely check out Akuma no Uta (that's right, the cover art was insipired by Nick Drake's Bryter Layter). The Evens made a good album, but it will not appear in my final top 10. I'd also like to add Sigur Ros's Takk to my list, just as Skullflower's Orange Canyon Mind as well. What is Low like? I've read about them, but never gave 'em a listen. Oneida might be interesting, they did a good job 1 or 2 years ago. The Arcade Fire could use a few more listens as well, so far I think they sound like a lite-version of GY!BE (not meant offensive).

I'll jot a few albums down soon...still a couple of months left yet for releases Yeah I was kinda looking forward to a new Eyehategod release but I don't see that coming since - AFAIK - all members live in New Orleans. Last time I checked the singer was still missing. Good dirty sludge Southern doom justifies smoking another joint
