Classic Rock Magazine Awards!!

So last night I went to the 'Classic Rock' Magazine 1st annual awards ceremony at hot London trendy night club Cafe De Paris . It was probably one of the weirdest nights of my life....
Lemmy from Motorhead played an acoustic set!! In a pair of trousers so tight that I doubt he ever takes them off. His boots!! Ha ha ha. Lemmy acoustic!! What the f@#%

Ian Gillan from Deep Purple is very thin and looks like a car salesman. Jon Lord has snow white hair & a lovely pony tail. Ian Paice is very fat! Deep Purple! No Richie Blackmore dressed like a medieval troubadour though:(

Ian Hunter from Mott The Hoople still wears shades and has curly hair. He didn't sing All The Young Dudes though.

Jimmy Pages minders a bit handy.....but Jimmys a gent allright - ah!!! Jimmy PAGE!! JIMMY PAGE - I was sat a table away from him!!!

Crazy Arthur Brown from the Crazy World Of Arthur Brown (remember the track Fire) pretended to be disabled ALL night (he came in in a wheelchair looking really ill) then when he was wheeled onstage to get an award he jumped up out of his wheelchair going 'I'm CURED!!! Then drummed on the lectern with a brush and sang his speech....v odd!!!

I got drunk on red wine, jagermeister and JD.

It was so dark I couldn't tell what I was eating. Tasted good though. Must have been asparagus.....

I feel very very odd today.

I don't think I'm still drunk - but I don't think I'm hungover either. It's weird!!

It was mental......

Bizarre as it may sound I went with a band I work with who won the BEST NEW BAND award. They're called the Answer from Northern Ireland. They're living the dream.
I wore a Melvins T shirt under my suit jacket
As was at Koko in spirit...............

Thorn: the Classic Rock awards co-incided with the Melvins Koko show not the Mudhoney show - hence me stating I was wearing a Melvins t-shirt as a kind of joke... ok not a very good one. Also my post said 'last night' ..... Keep up at the back
I didn't miss either of the Mudhoney London shows.
So just to re-iterate, I missed the Melvins show. Not Mudhoney. Worth reading the posts from the start so you kinda understand the thread
