A DVD would totally amazing as I think we are all agreed, but only if folks could convince the K7 label in Berlin who presumably still own the Best Of Berlin Independents and Mudhoney Live footage. The dude who runs or at least owns K7 is a guy called Horst (don't know his surname). They moved away from releasing guitar stuff many years ago and have made a name for themselves with the DJ Kicks mix series of releases. Kruder & Dorfmeister/Thievery Corporation etc etc. Really good label if you dig that kind of music. As I said, with these gigs (maybe expanded with extra footage), maybe the Reading Festival stuff, the footage from the TV Eye live show and all the videos, you've got a damn fine DVD on your hands. Plus any that extra footage one could find, maybe a short documentary.... Has anyone seen the recent Pavement, Galaxie 500 or Guided By Voices DVDs? Kinda thinking along those lines. I don't understand why Sub Pop or someone doesn't put one together. Actually I do, they're a pain in the ass to put together!! (I used to work at a label so I sort of know.. But as a fan it's be great! Sorry to ramble on...... Off to see the mighty Mark Lanegan tonight!!

holy shìt, i'd love to see those! i didn't even know G500 had one out, this dvd thing is getting quite out of hand, every band seems to have one out and it's so easy to miss many of them.

Actually the G500 DVD is a 'little' dissapointing... Some of the footage is great - like some really really early live footage, but as a DVD it's a bit dull to tell you the truth (ok I'm not the biggest G500 in the world - if you REALLY dig them then I guess you'll fall in love with this!!). The Pavement and GBV DVDs are better. Combinations of loads of live footage both early and late, great documentarys and all the bands promo vids. The Pavement DVD for example has footage from their last ever show at Brixton Accademy (which I was at). These DVDs were kinda what I was talking about when I was musing about my desire for a Mudhoney DVD. Hopefully if and when they do one it will be like the above. Anyway - it's late on Dec 24th! Merry Xmas to one and all. I'm off to bed:)
