yep. that's right. the entire festival tour, every single date, cancelled. that's quite amazing really, but it also sucks something terrible. the statement on the official lolla website says it's due to poor ticket sales. at least i get a full refund. anyone else bummed about this?

yeah, it sucks, but if you think about it, none of the acts that played are acts that play arenas.
I guess the combined drawing power wasn't as great as anticipated.

yeah, though they did have a few more well known acts, the bill didn't include anyone that would help them pack out big places that they are trying to do, especially for two days. i mean that was a really dumb move. you can't go from a line up like last year (Audioslave, Incubus, Queens, Janes, Burning Brides, Distillers) to a line-up of Morrisey, Sonic Youth, Sparta etc. i do like some of the bands playing this year, but man, no way would they ever pack out an arena.

if they had gotten just ONE up and up rock band-- it probably would have had to be a lame one-- that could have helped. Jet, or something.
basically, a band thats on the radio. bait and switch.
