R.I.P. Dimebag Darrell

last night "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott was shot to death while performing a show with his new band Damageplan in Columbus, Ohio. for those who don't know who he is, Dimebag Darrell is the former guitarist for Pantera, on of the biggest heavy-thrash metal bands ever. he is regarded as one of the best & most prolific heavy metal guitarists ever.
i'm not really into his music that much, but i thought i'd pass the news along, as this is very sad news & he was practically a metal legend.
the gunman was shot & killed by police after killing 3 other people (1 security guard & 2 people in the audience) & no motive is yet known.

yes, wasn't a huge fan either, but I have the utmost respect for what they did with metal music. this is a sad day. I live near dallas (where they are from) and people around here think these guys are gods... there are going to be a ton of sad metal kids today.
