Not sure if I should create another thread since there's also a Dinosaur/J thread but I was wondering if any of you have already heard Billy Corgan's The Future Embrace which is already out for a few months now, before that there was already an EP available which consisted 4 tracks.
I like the album a lot, especially the songs off the EP because I've heard them more often. I remember when it came out I listened to it a lot. It's not like the Pumpkins at all, but it's still interesting - although I'm not too keen on drum computers, especially when they are used in this more ambient kind of music instead of, let's say Big Black. So instead of the Pumpkins, this albums sounds more like a Zwan album. For those who respect Corgan, and like synthesizers and drum computers once - or maybe twice - in a while, go check this out.

Rumour has it baldy Jack Dee lookalike Billy Corgan is about to reform the Smashing Pumpkins. Let's get this party pumpkin!
The notoriously difficult Corgan, who enjoyed little success with 'supergroup' Zwan, is said to be keen to get his old gothers on the bill of this year's Coachella, which from this side of the pond, always seems to have a bill you'd give one of your eyes to go and see (though you might less generous if you went the year after that.)
Corgan recently scribled on his webpage: "The surprise I have in store for you all will be announced soon enough," he said. "Hold on to your horses. After all, good things surely comes to those who wait... Don't you just love the suspense?"
Mabye its comming?

I think i gotta be with Smallstone in this one. TSP are totally overrated. Billy Pumpkin is a really ass. I remember reading a Mark's interview circa 91 where they decided not to go with Caroline Rec becuz they would have to sweeten up their guitars, to not have side projects and tour 9 months a year, pretty much like TSP  |
