Anyways screw all this weak ass grunge crap (Smashing Pumpkins - purleaze!!), anyone here checked out the Brian Jonestown Massacre and the Dig documentary? I feel a chump for letting them pass me by all this time! Ok the name of the band is kinda crappy and put me off in the past and Anton Newcombe the lead dude is clearly bonkers.... but I still kinda like him/them. Actually the musics damn fine! Total 60s jangly Love, Seeds inspired psychedlia with a nod to shoegazey UK noodling. But with planty of nods to fuzz and acid space rock too. Their album titles are so dumb it's amazing. Their Satanic Majesties Second Request, Bringing It All Back Home ... Again. Thank God For Mental Illness etc etc Has anyone seen the Dig documentary? All about the band and their non-rise to fame and rivalry with the Dandy Warhols? It's frickin hilarious! Like Spinal Tap - but real! I think it's out on DVD in the US, still playing the art house cinema circuit in the UK and Europe. Folks should check 'em out!
