I dont think people do tribute albums to make the songs sound as good as the original or try and make them better...its to show respect for the band and all and who knows untill you hear it that they aint better than the original?

I think Mike is right. It's hard to do a good cover album. An exact copy of the original song is boring. And doing a song your own way will mostly lead to negative criticism. So then why do it? Cause some bands apparently want to tribute that one band. But then again, why the fuck are CKY on that record? And why not Joey Jordison - who adores Dale - for example? Ah fuck, I'll end up purhasing this damn thing anyway I guess.
Oh and it's already being released.
By the way, some members from the Melvins board have plans to make their own tribute. I'm looking forward to that one!

hey hey how are we today norecess real musician one who has complete technical mastery of music, harmony,structure, and thier instrument. however these are only a prerequiste to the most important part loving music and having a passion to play it!!!
