Leech Green River or Melvins

I was wondering who achually wrote this song because were thinkin about covering it.

So please tell me who the origional composer lyricist of the song is

Buzz has written about it in the liner notes of the re-release of Gluey Porch Treatments. He says he liked that riff from the start, butt Jeff Ament thought it was too repetive. Then he adds Jeff was a hardcore punk when they first met, then he turned into a glam rocker and later he became a millionaire by playing repetitive riffs in some corporate rock band. For the Jeff fans out here, don't worry, Buzz is always being an arsehole in interviews and liner notes (Metal Church fans should really read the liner notes of the Mangled Demos). But he's probably right about this one. Like he is often ;]

Anyway, the Melvins version can be found on GPT. I also like the version on Tanx, a bootleg of the Peel Sessions from '91. And although I really, really like GReen River's version, I prefer the Melvins version.

ive never achually heard the melvins version only the song sample on allmusic. but the riff does seem very Melviny

None of them. Green River's Leeech was never officially released.
