Just bought 'endtroducing' today and i'm now half way through the first listen of the night and I can say that this album is now going straight into my top 10 albums of all time. Everybody if you don't have it do yourself a favour and buy this album tomorrow. NOW DAMMIT  God this album rules. |

I find it hard to fathom that this album is 10 years old!! I can remember vividly when it came out - listening to it at work a lot. Everyone I knew had a copy of this. Yup it is a pretty special album and one of the first CDs I ever bought. I finally gave up on vinyl in about 1996. It just kicks off! Is it hip-hop? Is it trip-hop? It spans the genres!! DJ Shadow also seemed like a pretty clued in dude. I may drag this out this evening and pop it on. Been listening to a few albums from 10 years ago recently. Tortoise 'Millions Living...', Superchunk. 1996! What a weird time!! Post grunge, post rock in full effect. Trip hop. Brit Pop!! Very odd!! I was 24. Twenty Four!!! Ha ha ha. Sorry....  |

Listened to it 4 times in the last four days. God I love it so. Coming to the end I was thinking "god this album really can't get any better then out of the blue comes a section from Twin Peaks. I was certainly put in my place after that!

hehe, its been 10 years that I bought my first Rock Album, I was 11 in 1996 and it was "Tiny Music ..." from STP. Yeah, I know its pathetic, but that band was on the TV and Radio all the fuckin time ! I was so manipulated !  anyway, its been 10 great years ! keep on rocking for a lot lot lot more ! anyway, I will check this DJ Shadow. |
