Well I'm immensely bored. I was gonna watch a film but I ended up speaking to the ex(yes her again) and it's semi-late for it. So I'm gonna go on a rant about how great this album. I was thinking about it and, with 99% of the albums out there they're mainly lyric based. Whatever they're (the singer)talking about you probably feel the same or begin to relate with what the lyric topic is. A break-up with a partner, a song about going out on the piss. You automatically think about and relate to those moments in your life. With 'endtroducing' it's the opposite. Yes there are lyrics in some songs but mainly it's instrumental. When I listen to this album I think of past times, times when I'm happy or sad as everybody else with other albums. But yet, my thoughts are different with each listen. One time I could be thinking about one occasion but next time on that same track my mind is thinking about something else. What does this say? I suppose you could say it's an album of universal appeal (but only if the listener is willing to accept it for what it is) everyone can relate to a certain section of a song and say"that part made me think of such a such a thing" or "I felt this in at that part"Whilst it is a very schizophrenic album, an album that jumps from one genre to genre it never becomes messy. It's gotta be said this album really does kick me in the face. One little bit will just blow my mind then another. To be honest this album is pretty much faultless Another (yes I am that bored) big part of the album is the little monologues. If you've not heard the album, i'm looking at you thorn let e elaborate. Throughout the album you hear just snippets of talking whilst the music plays. Each one a different person talking about different things. At first you've no idea what they're talking about but with more listen to almost begin to create back stories for them. One example:Inside the music you hear a male, American probably white who sounds pretty (for lack of better word) pissed off. Going on about how he's stuck in jail "behind a court room in Long Beach waiting to be heard about me traffic offences". The more listens the more I give him a back story. Who is he, what offences has he done, what's his job. Whilst these bits are almost a reflection of us people it still has to ability to send you wandering. Taking you further away from reality. I always saw films as being the perfect way to escape reality I go onto the world of the film. Whereas with music I focus on the reality. I play songs that relate what mood I'm in I use it as a release. With this album it's the opposite, I let it wash over me and go somewhere else. Why? How the fuck do I know. So anyways that's me blab. Sorry if I wasted bandwidth. Actually it's kinda cathartic. More to arrive
