I'll grant you it's a fun read - but I don't really care for Motley Crue so ya know - bit like reading about anyones pharmaceutical excesses really. Even though the Crues were probably more excessive than most.... Not a book I'd bother going back to.

Yeah I'd never buy an album but it sure was a fun read. Hell, you didn't even have to know anything about their music.

Interesting review of the book here enjoyment.independent.co.uk/books/reviews/article1735215.ecedon't agree with all the dudes saying about the book and the Nirvana story in general - but still..he has his say... Am about 3/4 of the way thru the book now - immersed in heroin, recording of In Utero and Kurtney issues. Still pretty enjoyable read even if these aspects of the 'story' are kind of the least interesting to me personally..... I can remember reading the interviews and picking up the weekly press around this time (most of 1992 into 1993) and thinking - eek this doesn't sound much fun at all.......Nirvana are fucked. What a strange old time it was!
