I would describe it like blues grunge noise rock. Really, really fantastic and they are coming to Europe in February. I will see them in Hamburg.

I've really tried with the Hold Steady. I've got the new album - but its going on the trade pile I'm afraid. Sorry.
Everyone bangs on about them being the heirs to Springsteen, Replacements, Husker Du etc etc - but to me they sound like Hootie & The Blowfish. Kinda middle of the road bar room rawk 'n' roll. Dave Matthews band? Or how Soul Asylum ended up. Each to their own and all!
