Yep saw his site, his work is great. One thing that strikes me tho, is that the cover for the Lucky Ones is so much different from all his other work...!

Ed Fotheringham, friend of the band, artist, designer, who did the cover of Piece Of Cake, My Brother The Cow etc etc - painted the image. Jeff, who also works at Sub Pop, did the 'design' - he pieced the who package together. Ed's work can be seen here: homepage.mac.com/efotheringham/He was also in the Thrown Up s - still is sort of The cover to me is pretty 'jazz' too? Know what I mean? Also reminds me in a literal way of what'60s UK garage punk fore-runner the Creation were on about when they named that their track/album comp 'Our Music is Red with Purple Flashs' album - yeah? It's a synesthetic thang - ya dig?

Im with ya! I have a few jazz LPs and the covers do have a resemblance.
Good one on the Ed/Jeff point! I didnt realise that.
I'll see into what I can find out now, as I was using the wrong search terms.
