Yeah martin i agree with ya man, reading is the same mostly mainstream bands like but the odd good band you've never heard of.Reading + Lollapalooza used to kick ass back in the 90s i mean the lineup's had mainstream bands yeah but many more unknown bands playing to the lineup back in the 90s for reading were amazing like this for instance..
Reading Festival 1994 Consists of:- Cypress Hill The Lemonheads Frank Black Pavement Sebadoh Velocity Girl The Manics Radiohead Superchunk Chilli Peppers Soundgarden Therapy? Afghan Whigs Rollins Band Helmet The Jesus Lizard Cop Shoot Cop Jeff Buckey ect..
I much prefered it in those days and wish'd i could have witnessed some of the lineup's back then, but i guess we have to make do with what is there.
Hey cherub who will play at the Ilosaarirock Festival this year man?

I've got Leeds festival this year. Three great headliners, thats pretty much unheard of these days. Glastonbury is so over-rated it's unbelivable. Maybe people are paying for 'atmosphere'

All the bands playing at Leeds will be playing Reading just on different days so Iron Maiden will be playing on Friday at Leeds then on Sunday at Reading. If you were thinkin of goin this year you'd have to go on eBay cos they've both sold out of weekend tickets.
