The new Sonic Youth album is brilliant. Very immediate. Very 'pop' But still skronking. Structured 3/4 minute tunes. Verse - choruses - solos! As Thurston says in this months Wire magazine interview it's their 'Parallel Lines'. There's a nod to Blondie in the artwork pics too. Folks'll dig it!! |
