man mark fucking rules the planet, he had his ultra hot girlfriend singing with him, and the new stuff fuck was it amazing or what!!! lets hope he carries on making music forever!!! everything he does is great!!!

Don't get me wrong. I think Mark Lanegan is an AMAZING singer and his albums never fail to dissapoint. Field Songs is an absolute MASTERPIECE! However live its always a game of Russian Roulette. I've been going to see him play solo and with the Screaming Trees for over 10 years. I saw him play the Islington Accademy in Oct and it was pretty good, terrible venue, band were good though, great sound blah blah blah.
2 months later at the Astoria it was probably the worst gig I've seen in years (probably since the last time Mark played the Astoria). Indifferent & brief performance, awful sound, a band that had no interaction, with Nick Oliveri dithering around on guitar for the whole set.
Huge dissapointment!! But not unexpected....

well nick did look a bit lost on stage, he had to read the riffs from someone in the back, however it was a night of mayhem and rock, ive seen 2 mark gigs and both were amazing, hopefully ill never experince a shitty one, but theres always a first time for everything...

Thorn..that girl who sung with him she was at reading to singing when i saw him hehe man is she hot or what? and has a great voice to i was trying to find out who she was but didnt,anyone know who she is? i thought mabye she was just a friend of marks or something and filling in the spots where pj sang on the album anyone have any info about her?

She is called Shelley Brien and along with the guitarist Michael Barragan they were in an LA band called Broken.
She was also the guitarists partner, however when they stopped being an item the guitarist left the Lanegan world tour to be replaced by Nick Oliveri.
Rumour has it she is now Mr Lanegans 'main squeeze'.....

fuck me she was damn hot, we had to do a bit of drooling before we listened to the music!!! she had a good voice, but somehow the crowd wasnt paying attention to that, rather to other features!!!!!! she even got a whistle from the crowd!!!

No idea if Broken were any good - not sure if they have a website or not either.
