just heard this news today..although some of you have probably heard it somewhere else first,just thought i'd post it incase.

MARK LANEGAN

Mark's new album 'Bubblegum' is now completed, and we can confirm the
release date will be the 2nd August 2004.

Track titles include 'Sideways In Reverse', 'Strange Religion',
'Methamphetamine Blues' and 'Driving Death Valley Blues' - with a full
tracklisting to follow shortly. Expect to hear vocals from the very
wonderful PJ Harvey on two tracks, as well as many special guests
including Greg Dulli, Josh Homme, Nick Oliveri, and many many more...

The Mark Lanegan Band will be playing festivals and club shows in the UK
and Europe in late-August - details to follow shortly.

p.s...thorn im not trying to start anything here man,but if nick kicked mark outta the band,you think mark would ask him to be on his new solo album?? anyway,like i said all i heard was that mark left to focus on his solo stuff...and his solo stuff shall be here soon. {YAY}
