more details have emerged about the Classic Albums DVD: "[The DVD] is due March 22. Along with a documentary featuring interviews with bassist Krist Novoselic, drummer Dave Grohl and producer Butch Vig, the DVD will include mini-docs on Grohl joining the band, the album's artwork and the song 'Drain You.' " Info courtesy of MTV. Apparently the DVD also features interviews with Sonic Youth's Thurston Moore, Gary Gersh (former A&R for DGC), Jon Poneman (Sub Pop), Nils Bernstein and Jack Endino

They are really good, one of my favorite bands, but a few of their songs are taken from Mudhoney. Listen to "Need," then listen to Smells Like Teen Spirit." There are a few others, I just can't remember which ones.

well nirvana collectively worshiped mudhoney, amongst other bands, and were of course influnenced by them heavily. the reason nirvana were soo goood is because they took the best bits from every good band ever created and thus created the best band ever by throwing in 3 dynamic personalities in the musical mix. and they were the only known band to have done this, which is why they are the best band ever!!!
