Nah, music today doesn't suck! There is LOADS of great music around now. There always is good stuff aronng!! Check out (relatively) new stuff like Iron And Wine, Sufjan Stevens, Devendra Banhart, Maximo Park, Low, The Evens, 6 Organs Of Admittence, Magnolia Electric Company, Arcade Fire, The National, 6 Organs Of Admittence, Comets On Fire etc etc. Or new albums from Bonnie Prince Billy, Nick Cave, High On Fire, Isis, The Shipping News to name but a few. There's so much amazing music coming out at the moment it's impossible to keep up!  |

I think what Mudhoney 1988 meant was that the majority of music around today is shit which i agree but yeah as Smallstone said there are many great bands around to if you look hard enough.....Coachwhips,Comets On Fire,Wolf Eyes,Sunn O))),Slint,Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster,Pelican,Yourcodenameis:milo,Yeah Yeah Yeahs,Melt Banana,Kid Commando,Oceansize,Lightning Bolt,Cat Power,Jon Spencer,Sonic Youth,Mark Lanegan,Beck,And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead And about another 9 million bands ;D

Speak for yourself thorn,i have nothing against nirvana and they were a great band yeah,but far from one of my favourite bands even if they did sell more records than most bands could dream of for me there still are many bands above nirvana.

well this is how i see it nirvana are the only band to incorporate all of thier influences into thier music and twisting it to produce the greatest music ever known. they were the tightest band ever PROVEN FACT i defy anybody to find a tighter band it isnt giong to happen which is also very good. utlimately they were great on every aspect of the musical spectrum, and if you dont like em dont talk to me about it go home and listen to alice in shit instead!!! i cant understand why everyone worships aic and pearl shit, and hates nirvana is it so you appear that your not a nirvana nerd, well guess what im fucking proud to be one!!!
