Anyone heard of this ''GREAT'' festival in england?
the lineup last year was fucking awesome..sonic youth,Boredoms,stephen malkmus and the jicks ect... was wondering if anyone from the uk or anywere reallly is up for going this year like?

Well its a music festival in sussex,england well renound for should i say non commerical bands playing there and its probably the only festival i know of that you dont need a tent cause you stay in a challet or villa i havnt been to this festival yet but next year im hoping to go,some of the bands that have played there : - SONIC YOUTH,THE BOREDOMS,SHELLAC,STEPHEN MALKMUS AND THE JICKS,PUBLIC ENEMY,MCLUSKY,EARTH,MOGWAI,CAT POWER,MIKE WATT,TORTOISE,THE SHINS,DEERHOOF,MODEST MOUSE,LE TIGRE And many many more,check this festival out if you can! i know i am ;D

yeah man its a cool festival, been a couple of times and going nxt year for slint and maybe gallo... advice- get ready for a big hangover... and err try and not take too many drugs on the day(s) you really want to see the headliner... save them till after, or you might ruin it as happened to one of my mates on the sonic youth day this year!
its really fun, and has a real community atmosphere, and theres no threat of getting mugged like you get at other festivals... enjoy it
and if you see mike watt and george hurley's minutemen duet be prepared for the fact that everything else will seem like complete toss in comparison.... they just blew shellac off the stage tonite at the scala!!!!!

Get in to yours...you get tickets for the Slint curated one? i didnt manage to get any,But im hoping i can get tickets for week two of ATP next year. ps.i missed mike watt + the minutemen duet  seen shellac though and many others,was this girls fault ended up in my villa with her and missed violent femmes,throbbing gristle and mike watt and the minutemen oh well i seen most of the bands i went to see,and i totally agree man its so chilled out and all there,will definatly be going every year now...kicks reading festivals ass by far man!! |
