what you guys think of them?

to me fugazi are one of the most important punk bands (well my opinion anyway)

i mean the things that band stood for and wrote about,not to mension how F***INg koooool their music is,insiped alot of other bands im sure and have inspired me alot to.

Didn't saw them cuz I hadn't heard their music before.. Still haven't heard I love Minor Threat though

ha ha ha ha - sometimes Thorn you kill me. Thanks man, you've brightened up my day with your insightful polemic. Of course what you meant to write was.... Fugazi are one of the greatest bands of all time. Live they are without doubt untouchable. Musically they have been pushing back the boundaries of what is possible to do with 2 guitars, bass and drums for over 15 years. More interested than politics than music? Oh please!! That's about the most clichéd, ill informed comment I've heard on this board in a long time!!! Sorry to rag on you man, and yeah you ARE entitled to your opinion of course, but when it's such a lazy, hackneyed opinion I just can't let it pass:)

Go back and buy the Arguement, Repeater or ANY of their albums and have another go. If they ever play live again, go see them play live.

I could go on - but you've annoyed me too much.....in a nice way obviously.

Have to say i agree with smallstone fugazi are truely one of the great-er bands of out time,And i wouldnt say they were intresed more in politics than music man,fact is THEY CARED which is more than i can say for many bands around today.

I have to agree with you, to me, fugazi is one of the greatest bands, not only of our generation, but ever, I mean not only to consider them "punk" 'cause to me that's limitative due to the fact that they play a lot of styles within their music, they can do punk masterpieces like In on the killtaker or Repeater, but then they can make such diverse records as Red Medicine or the Argument...besides no one, at least in my opinion, has stayed so truly for their beliefs and stands, no one can say anythig bad about them, because in their on word: "You own us nothing...and we own you nothing too"

look i dont know why everybody has to be impeccably punk and correct about it, ive heard all thier stuff and i just dont like it, and they certainly werent pushing any boundaries,like say big black or the melvins at the time. i have been forced to watch many of thier concerts on tape and they arent that good, and they were always saying stuff about politics which ruined the atmosphere of these concerts. thats why i think they arent as good as many other bands from the time.
