Seminal punk noise legends The Stooges will be recording an album later in the year.
Employing the services of Mike Watt on bass, it will be the first time Iggy Pop and Ron and Scott Asheton have recorded together in three decades. And what's more there may be a very special treat in store.
It is strongly rumoured über-producer and Shellac man Steve Albini will be the man twiddling knobs behind the desk. Get in!
Sounds damn good to me and albini working with them,hopefully this rumor is true.We shall see i guess but good news none the less.

I'm abit unsurre about this. It could turn into a farce and nosatalgia fest. But if Albini is the "recorder" then I doubt he'd let that happen.

Yeah i think that if the stooges were to make another album without the help of silly pop babies like sum 183 and other vavious bands of that kind i really think albini would be the man to sort it out,Lets just remember they aint recorded together for 3 decades pretty long time but i seriously think albini would be the man to make this work the way it should if they want to make another album,I heard so damn many albini produced records and still to this day i have yet to hear a bad one even though he hates being praised by everyone he has to be one of the best kinda in a league of his own,Anyway lets cross our fingers and see what happens here yeah.  |
