Yeh im with you Smallstone. I've nothing against crowdsurfering or crowdsurfers - I'd probably go in for it myself it i was in the middle of the audience and not right up infront of the band. Naturally there's the whole sense of cameraderia involved with it too, getting lifted up by random, friendly strangers and assisting other ppl to get up... But if only in moderation! Plenty of em are jsut on a goddamn continuous cycle. "wow I crowdsurfed 20 times tonight!" - give that guy a medal. While the ones at the front get pulled bent-double by the security everytime someone's sent toward the stage. So eventually after 15 ppl per minute bouncing off yer neck on the way down it kinda begins to grate. Dig??
Boo hoo C'est la vie Night Night

crowd surfing stagediving moshing ect... even if you get kicked its still better than just standing listening to the band you need to move around and have fun. thats just my opinion

crowd surfing stagediving moshing ect... even if you get kicked its still better than just standing listening to the band you need to move around and have fun. thats just my opinion But not everyone needs to croud surf to have fun or enjoy themselves,we are all diffrent in that respect,I for one have had my ''Croud Surfing Days'' and must say i enjoyed it lots but i've kind of grew out of it now,at the mudhoney show i was on the balcony but i wasnt just stood there like a plank or anything i was nodding my head and moving around a little while singing and just enjoying it in my own way.I used to find it harder to take the gig in while croud surfing i mean while i was going mental watching a band after the show my friends would be like ''Oh Did You See What He Did To His Guitar?'' or somthing like that and i didnt because i was to busy surfing..im with smallstone on this one i've had my day of surfing and what not now i just have my own fun at a show without booting someone in the head or something but everyone can have fun at a show just remember we aint all the same and dont wanna all do the same as oneanother.

What do you think a band would rater see you do? Stand there nodding your head a bit or going crazy? At the Astoria gig the place went crazy and you could see that Mark was lovin the sight. I know what I'd prefer a crowd to do....

Their's a review of the london gig (first night I'm guessing) in Classic Rock magazine and it goes something like this:
Nirvana's Nevermind was not, despite claims that it is, the birth howl of grunge. Rather, that album was its death rattle. Anything that came after it was just desperate scenesterism from chancers in plaid, who months previously had been all lipstick and hairspray. There had been grunge records released before Mudhoney's first mini-LP in 1988, but it was their Superfuzz Bigmuff that really kick started things. And tonight, as part of the Don't Look Back series of gigs that also saw The Stooges resurrect Funhouse, grunge pioneers Mudhoney are here to revisit their landmark album in its entirety. Due to the berevity of ....Bigmuff, the newly match fit, booze and drug free Mudhoney also throw in their first four singles as well, in order to extend the set beyond what would of been 20mins. Knowing full well how Strong there material is, they toss out Touch me... disdainfully to the howling audience. Forty-something men who have been staid for years are going mad and crowd surfing, while younger members of the audience look on and look worried. In 'N out of Grace creates a warm Maelstrom of noise with a lengthened drum workout and enervating use of feedback. Of course, they ruin it by playing later material in the encore, detracting from the fact that in 1988 they were the worlds best heavy rock band and making themselves sound like sludge next to gold.
Definitely disagree with the last paragraph. Bloody idiot. And notice how short of a time it took to mention Nirvana?

Not really much of a review is it i mean as fans we all know the bands backround and all and how much of an impact and such they had on the bands and music around and shit and i thought a review was to let us know what happened during the gig and all mabye i was wrong eh.
